{"id":810,"date":"2025-10-27T11:08:29","date_gmt":"2025-10-27T11:08:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dsdevices.com\/?page_id=810"},"modified":"2025-10-27T11:08:29","modified_gmt":"2025-10-27T11:08:29","slug":"dsda1-firmware-reflash","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/dsdevices.com\/eu\/dsda1-firmware-reflash\/","title":{"rendered":"DSDA1 Firmware Reflash"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>If your device is not working properly, follow the instructions below to fully reflash your device using the USB-USB method.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For routine upgrades of the DSDA1 firmware, please use the <a href=\"https:\/\/dsdevices.com\/eu\/dsda1-firmware-upgrade-ota\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OTA zip file<\/a> method.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will need a wooden or plastic stick that will easily fit inside the AV port on the rear of the DSDA1. A matchstick, cocktail stick or toothpick is ideal. Do not use anything metal or anything conductive.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will need a USB mouse.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will need to download the USB Burning Tool, DSDA1 Android Firmware and DSDA1 SHA256 Firmware Hash linked below:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-file\"><a id=\"wp-block-file--media-f9ec03c0-d973-446d-9b5e-213c1e75cd7c\" href=\"https:\/\/dsdevices.com\/eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Aml_USB_Burn_Tool_V3.zip\">Aml USB Burn Tool V3<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/dsdevices.com\/eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Aml_USB_Burn_Tool_V3.zip\" class=\"wp-block-file__button wp-element-button\" download aria-describedby=\"wp-block-file--media-f9ec03c0-d973-446d-9b5e-213c1e75cd7c\">Download<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DSDA1 Firmware and Hash currently unavailable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the image has been downloaded please check the image hash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The mains power adapter should be connected to a power source, but not plugged into the DSDA1.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Install USB Burning Tool<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On your Windows 10\/11 computer, extract the USB Burning Tool zip file<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Run USB Burning Tool<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the USB Burning Tool has been extracted, change to the unzipped directory and run Aml_Burn_Tool.exe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next from the top File menu, choose settings, load image.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dsdevices.com\/eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/AML-burn-load.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-842\" style=\"width:732px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Select the img file you downloaded earlier.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a short time, the import will complete and you\u2019ll see the firmware loaded at the bottom of the screen:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dsdevices.com\/eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/AML-burn-DSDA1-file.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-855\" style=\"width:739px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Next ensure that the Configuration section to the top right looks like this:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dsdevices.com\/eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/AML-burn-run.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-846\" style=\"width:162px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ensure Erase flash mode is set to Normal Erase as shown above. <strong>Under no circumstances use any other mode.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Connect DSDA1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ensure that the DSDA1 is turned off and that the power adapter is disconnected from the power port on the rear of the DSDA1.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Put your matchstick or similar into the AV port on the rear of the DSDA1 and press gently. You should feel a tactile \u201cclick\u201d as you depress the reset button.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep the reset button pressed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plug one end of the USB A-A cable into the rear-most USB port of the DSDA1 (nearest to the antenna) and the other into a spare USB port on your Windows 10\/11 computer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Connect the power adapter to the DSDA1 and release the reset button.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You should see a new device appear in the USB Burning Tool.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dsdevices.com\/eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/AML-burn-connect.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-848\" style=\"width:774px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If it doesn\u2019t appear, remove the power and USB cables, reconnect the USB and then try the process of pressing the reset button and connecting power again.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have the device connected, click on the Start button at the top right of the USB Burning Tool. Immediately the device will start to be upgraded.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dsdevices.com\/eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/AML-burn-flash.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-850\" style=\"width:780px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Allow the process to complete.
